His Holiness the Dalai Lama who is currently at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, scheduled to undergo a prostate treatment is reported to have no major concerns. Tibetans have been worrying about the news of the health check-up required for His Holiness as advised by the doctors. This news comes out as a great relief for many people especially Tibetans.
The doctors at Mayo said that the prostate condition His Holiness is being treated is common for men of his age. The statement of the spokeswoman at Mayo told that His Holiness’s state of health has no major concerns and he will make a full recovery after the treatment.
“His physicians report no major concerns, and anticipate he will respond well to treatment and make a full recovery,” a Mayo spokeswoman said in a statement.
Previously in September last year, His Holiness had cancelled a US trip on advice of his doctors to rest for several weeks after a medical check up.
This time His Holiness will be resuming his regular schedule by March after a month’s rest for recovery after the on-going treatment.
