According to the report published by the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, 16 Tibetan students have secured an excellent result of above 90 per cent marks in the CBSE class tenth board exams. While the CBSE announced the class 12 board exam results on May 26, the class 10 board exam results were announced on May 29.
The Class 10 Board Examination (AISSE) results 2018 as announce on May 29 afternoon, 1269 Tibetan students appeared in the AISSE held in March 2018 out of 1110 students have passed, 150 students have been placed in the compartment category and 9 students could not clear the exam. However, there are 16 Tibetan students who have secured more than 90 percent marks in the board exams that was restored this year from grading system implemented for CBSE class 10 students in the year 2009.
“The overall pass percentage is 87.47 and the average percentage is 59.91. Girls, with a pass percentage of 89.91, did better than the boys by 5.2 %, who registered a pass percentage of 84.71. A total of 16 students have scored more than 90 %.” said the report by the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration.
This year’s overall pass percentage for class 12 students were report as 95.56 which has improved by 8.72 percent from last year with pass percentage of 86.92. Qualitatively too, with an average of 65.84 percent, there has been an increase of 3.79 percent with 62.05 percent last year and 1140 Tibetan students have passed from the total of 1193 students who appeared in class 12 exams in March 2018.
