An 11 month old baby boy has died on Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Hyderabad according to the leading breaking reports on Wednesday. The airlines also confirmed the sad news through a statement released in solidarity of the unfortunate incident that took place in the early hours of Wednesday.
The baby was a US national identified as Arnav Varm traveling with his parents on the Qatar Airways flight SR-500. According to the report in the NDTV, the baby developed breathing troubles and soon after landing in Hyderabad, the child was rushed to the nearest facility Apollo Medical Centre at the airport. However, the baby was declared brought dead.
“We are aware of the very sad news that a young child passed away at Hyderabad International Airport this morning,” the airline said in a statement adding that their sympathy and thoughts are with the affected family according to the NDTV report.
“We’re awaiting for investigations to conclude and for official reports from both Qatar Airways and Apollo hospitals on the baby’s death,” Hyderabad airport spokesperson Sangeetha CR was quoted as saying by news agency AFP.
