The Indian shuttler P. V. Sindhu who met with the world no. 1 at the women’s singles badminton final at the Rio Olympics loses to Spanish where she gets the first silver medal for India this Olympic.
This victory is a historic achievement by any Indian as she has become the first Indian to win this title at the Olympics and the first indian women to win a silver medal.
Sindhu initially took the advantage with a win by 21-19 in the first set. However, she lost the second and third sets by 12-21 and 15-21.
P. V. Sindhu fought on a warrior game and won the hearts of millions. More importantly she created history in Indian Olympics. She has done India proud at the world stage.
Sindhu clinched the first silver medal for India at the Rio Olympics and the second medal for India at the Rio Olympics.
